The perfect weekend is.......when you hop in an electric Land Rover and drive into the bush where the bell birds are singing, to a cozy cabin next to a lake where you can snuggle with the dog and watch the campfire.

It's brilliant to see mainstream events discussing the electrification of marine industries. Great chair and panellists from Marine Emissions Reduction Coalition, Oceon Energy, Ocean Impact Organisation and Candela. Thank you @fullychargedshow.bsky.social for talking about EVERYTHING electric!

We are already looking forward to the next WIMS event—our annual two-week course in Wollongong, to be held in May 2025—which will be a chance to welcome a new group of Women in Maritime Security into our program, and continue building this great network.

We were fortunate to be joined by a very senior woman in maritime security—Australia's Foreign Minister, Senator the Hon. Penny Wong—who reminded us that the WIMS program is an important & shared collective investment in the skills of each participant & their agency, and in regional stability.

This week, joined by women from navies, coastguards, foreign affairs & national security agencies, we were reminded of the special magic that happens when you create a space for women to learn, share & connect—and of the many, many things we have in common, regardless of our role, agency or country.

This is Digger the legal beagle. He did his dogtorate while I did mine and now he works hard all day on the couch (or sometimes under the desk). I mostly work from home, and he's an amazing ice-breaker for all my online meetings.
