I think the games work best linearly because it limits your options forcing you to make use of every tool you have, which is why i don't really like scarlet and violet bc you can basically go wherever and catch anything

Personally, I enjoy the design philosophy of GSC (although tbh they were executed kinda poorly and had hardware limitations at the time).

Linear progression for the mostpart with the world opening up towards the midgame. I also really like when gyms can cover their weaknesses so you can't sweep.

Despite desperately having wanted to for about a decade now, I have never played more than a single beginning session of DnD. I have however been the DM twice for a couple of one-shots of a completely different tabletop RPG.

From my experience over the last 5 years of being poly, it genuinely isn't much more complicated than the average monogamous relationship. All relationships hinge on communication whether they are poly or monogamous and once that breaks down the same problems happen in both types.
