I'm bad for this too, and actually I'm not really interested in visuals. I focus entirely on the sound and mixing. I don't think visuals are something I want to convey. I just stream the room, or my Traktor window.
Are visuals mandatory ? I think its more because of everyone being used to it in VRC.

I've been 100 % sober for many years, and despite the drinking pressure is very high in VRC parties, I always decline happily and most of the time people are nice about it and gladly cheer with my water or fruit juice.
I don't miss it, at all. I'm happy to know we are in that better boat together ☺️
