One of the biggest barriers to digital service transformation is budget separation.

It’s a cost item on a digital budget.

Which later results in savings in the service operation budget.

That’s a different team, unit or even organisation.

I think too much attention is given to trying to analyse Musk's politics relative to his state of mind. Quite aside from his malign activism, it is obvious that he is not well.
Here is 11 hours of almost unbroken tweeting by Elon Musk, starting at midnight GMT/7pm EST on Monday. How is he getting anything else done?

Went to the speech this morning. A few thoughts. TL;DR - I thought it was really good, but of course lots of tricky challenges to work through. 🧵
I know people will be irked by the word ‘start-up’ here but I do think this is a meaningful step in the right direction. The basic principles they’re gesturing to must be right. 1/n

This one has not aged.

I wish it had.

It’s still as relevant now as it was then.
Reposting my popular post from elsewhere. It's still relevant 6 years later. I made a handy flowchart called "Should I say resources?" Please use as needed.

If you’ve ever heard someone say “If we automated X, it would free people up to do Y”, and thought 🤔, I just wrote a thing about that: www.timpaul.co.uk/posts/automation-and-the-jevons-paradox/
