I’m not taking away from the fact that this decision is an outrage for its failure to protect young people’s healthcare in TN. It will come to be remembered as such in time. Meanwhile, we fight on.

Of course we dispute the Court’s characterization of the TN law’s motivation and impact. But the key is that the Court left us plenty of tools to continue the fight against anti-trans discrimination, including other healthcare bans

My parents, both scientists, came from the UK to the US for jobs in the 60s at a time when the US offered greater opportunities. Now the brain drain will be from the US to universities elsewhere. Tragic.
