Just when I thought things were going to go smoothly, I had film issues. Once I had sorted that, another gremlin reared its head.

It is run in conjunction with HiveArts, the gallery upstairs. Unfortunately, as it is a 3-hour round trip on a good day, I won't be there until I am free during the school holidays, which is the final day.

What a Drongo! – Bulk Loading Film Issues

The title of this post was named by Theo from Photo Thinking. I asked a group I am in if it is possible to tell a 100 or 400 film from just looking at it. The reason is that, for the last two weeks, I have used either bulk-loaded Exeter 100 or 400, and the…

The title of this post was named by Theo from Photo Thinking. I asked a group I am in if it is possible to tell a 100 or 400 film from just looking at it. The reason is that, for the last two weeks, I have used either bulk-loaded Exeter 100 or 400, and the results have been weird. They were either overexposed and overdeveloped or underexposed and underdeveloped.

How the hell did we cut up turnips for Halloween when we were little? Just cut one up for stew and I needed a hammer and chisel.

That was fun, but a little stressful, so I decided not to participate in their next publication…But I couldn't resist and changed my mind. The theme word changed, and so did the film choice, but the altruistic nature stayed the same. All proceeds from the publication would go towards …

Cosina PM-1

I have tried to buy this camera a couple of times. I yearned for a camera with my name on it, and I couldn't afford the 'Peggy'. But then I saw this one, with my initials. Oooh nice, maybe I could get this camera and give it a funky skin to match 'me'. I ordered one from the bay, but…

I recently showed a few people how to convert a compact digital camera to infrared by removing the blocking filter. When I originally did this, I stuck to taking black and white photos with either a red or infrared filter. I didn't like the colour results which were bright magenta, so I never returned to it. Then I read this article…

I have been on a few photowalks recently with mixed results. I really enjoyed the walks and chatting with people, but my results were not my best. First, I joined a walk run by Holmfirth Photosocial, incorporating their HŐME exhibition. I took with me the recently purchased Rollei 35T loaded with a very expired roll of Kodak RAR. It was a very friendly walk and I already knew a few people.
