No more steps! 🙌

We're pleased that @nationaltrust.org.uk & the county council are planning a new bridge over Burwell Lode. It will be 3-4m wide with a max. gradient of 1:20 on the 2 access ramps. Construction is due to start in July 2026.

A new county council consultation has opened on the Windsor Road/Oxford Road junction.

It's time that politicians of all parties worked together on a holistic vision for cycling in Ely with a plan for how to achieve it. @sustrans.bsky.social feasibility study for East Cambs District Council looked at the broader city & included suggestions such as making parts of Lynn Road one-way.

Lynn Road, Ely: "Hopkins Homes will now seek to progress the application to not install a cycle route."

This is NOT the message we need to see in our region, where new developments should be improving facilities for people walking & cycling rather than adding additional pressures.

@greateranglia.bsky.social is making progress with its refurbishment of the Cyclepoint at Cambridge station. It will be replacing stands on the second floor from Monday 28 July. Please ensure all cycles on this floor are removed by the end of Sunday 27 July.
