So anyway, I liked Super Metroid. Finished with a 5:08. No Samus abs for me. Generally, I think the games fun, the art style and music is 👌🏼👌🏼. However, every time I lock in, something just has to brake or ruin that for me, if it isn’t the controls being finicky at the worst, it’s the bosses being meh

So I finished super Metroid. Liked it, though the controls were a little unwelcoming to my disability. However, this man… right here. I need him to open up to his closest peers and be laughed at. I NEED him having his favourite meal, and it’s cold in the middle. I HATE HIM.

Welp, that’s all she wrote for now with #astrobot. I still think it’s the GOTY, immensely charming and fun in every aspect, and I enjoyed 100%. Though I think the Time Trial DLC was a little underwhelming, not really into time trial stuff so it wasn’t for me in the first place. Overall, great game.

Now the worst GOTY for me is without a doubt #BlackOps6. It’s been a while since I’ve played a piece of software that actively hates me. The story is boring af, the multiplayer is about as stable as my mental health. None of the guns feel good to use, this series needs to die for a few years.

So I can confidently say that my GOTY is #ASTROBOT. It was super cute, and a step back into a better era of PlayStation by being a solid platformer.
Not the best platformer I’ve played, but it’s an amazing breath of fresh air for PS, especially the PS5, it got an actual game.

So, how does it run on the Steam Deck? Near perfect from what I can tell. The only problems I’ve encountered are minor slowdown thanks to shader compile, or audio crackling, but that could just be a settings issue. I mean if you actually want to play sonic 06 on the go you can do worse I guess…

Don’t worry, I am not fucking normal about emulating shit like little big planet and others. Because I will push hardware to breaking just to see the funny sackboy in the year of our lord Gaben 2024.

So anyway how does it play? Meeeh? With a bit of jiggery pockery you can get 19-30 fps. But you do have to trip a few debug settings and overclock the GPU.
After that, it’s a decent experience. #Rpcs3 does heavily rely on CPU so it’s no big surprise. But yeah. LBP3 on the go. I can’t be happier.

Since it’s been a year, and effectively the game is done since no DLC. I was very much disappointed by this game, I still like it and play it over 1 or MM. But just the way the fumble the writing and story can’t be ignored.
It deserved better, Insomniac deserved better treatment than a data leak.
