Fire Ban Lifted Today at 4 PM

Thanks to recent rain and cooler temps, the City of Cambridge is lifting its temporary fire ban as of 4 p.m. today, Wednesday, August 20.

Fire ban in effect starting today (Aug 8) at 4pm.
The fire ban is due to ongoing drought conditions, and an increased risk of fire ignition. During the ban, outdoor fires for the purpose of cooking will not be permitted.
The ban will remain in place until further notice.

What you can do to keep safe:
- Always charge e-bikes and battery-powered devices away from doors, hallways, and exits.
- Use manufacturer-approved chargers and batteries, avoid overcharging.
- Never charge batteries overnight or unattended.
- Keep escape routes clear at all times.
