The holidays are here! When cooking, remember color is not a reliable indicator of doneness. Use a food thermometer to make sure meat, poultry, and fish are cooked to a safe internal temperature.

The goal is to give cheer and not the flu at the holidays. 🤧 Make sure you got the flu vaccine this year. And stay home if you are feeling sick.

Keep your pets safe this winter! 🐱🐶

- Bring pets inside when cold. 🏠🧊
- Wipe dog’s paws 🐾 after each trip outside. Ice-melting chemicals or rock salt can cause irritation, sickness, or be fatal.
- Bang on your vehicle’s hood to scare away animals before starting your car. 🚗

Is your #Thanksgiving turkey🦃 ready to eat?

There are three places to check the temp 🌡️: 1) innermost part of the wing, 2) innermost part of the thigh, and 3) thickest part of the breast.

It's not safe until it reaches 165°F. Cook at an open oven temp of 325°F or above.

Happy cooking!

Help Cambridge out by keeping leaves out of the streets and storm drains. Put them in the yard waste collection.

This will help 1) prevent flooding as leaves can clog storm drains and 2) reduce pollution with leaves adding too much phosphorus into our rivers and streams.
