Organizers with #FreeDC pointed out that deployment has been extended to end of November, and the admin wants to push it til 2026, meaning everyone deployed would not get to spend the holidays with their families.

This is actually a different amendment than Schumer’s. It’s probably just as likely to get blocked, but the financial angle could entice a Republican senator or two.
