This was my first big painting project, 9 6x24" panels studied from a walk around Cleveland. Decent for 2 days & nights without sleep, surviving that first final critique was worth it for the chocolate Dunkin donut and orange juice

The second depicts a glassy building reflecting yellow light, broken up by several trees with and without leaves. The third depicts a different building with several storefront awnings, cast in orange light, and is framed to the right by street lights and a cloudy, early evening sky to the left. Another set of 3 acrylic paintings, growing noticeably darker, saturated, and gestural. The first here depicts a sidewalk, framed by trees and greenery lit by ground lights, with parked cars to the right. A red fire hydrant leads the eye down the length of the sidewalk. The second depicts 2 trees painted in dark orange and maroon tones, contrasting a building softly lit with red and soft yellow. The third depicts a similar scene as the second, but the trees are nearly black in silhouette against a building brightly lit in yellow and orange, and the hint of a diluted purple evening sky. The final set of 3 acrylic paintings, which contrast deep indigo of night against bright warm tones. The first is a large tree, lit in the center-right by a street lamp. The second looks down a disheveled street. There is caution tape and orange cones around a small tree, and a car crossing the intersection in the background. The road is dark, without much lighting. The final piece shows the very first painting's store sign, giving context to the starting point of perspective.
