On the shared micromobility panel, @alexadelbosc.bsky.social and @kmanaugh.bsky.social presented their research, and speakers from DDOT, NABSA, and SUMC shared implementation best practices. Topics included who uses these programs and how, to how cities can encourage strong enrollment and use.

On the transit panel, we had speakers from @wmata.com and @mbta.bsky.social, plus Rebel consulting, as well as McGill and University of Illinois Chicago. Topics discussed ranged from improving eligibility verification to meeting the needs of marginalized groups, like homeless youth.

Prof Candace Brakewood led off with a keynote, sharing the results of her recently published TCRP synthesis report J-07/Topic SB-40.

She shared the state of practice of low-income discounted fare programs in public transit agencies in North America.

Our #TRBAM2025 workshop brought together experts from the public transit and shared micromobility fields to share their research and best practices for low-income reduced fare programs.
