I think that the whole period from 8 aby to 32 aby is Filoni’s territory and he’ll manage it until at least they’ll better explain Snoke, Palpatine’s clones and Rey (I know some comics and novels do this already)

Unfortunately many important deaths of secondary characters were buried under the massive amount of subplots that they had to close before finishing. They did not have the time to make characters mourn their friends and lovers, and so we couldn’t either
