Never forget this is the man who emigrated manufacturing of his trophy 4x4 car, the Ineos Gammoneer to France (despite promising UK production) and even now is closing Scotland's only oil refinery. Loves his country.

I'm from Inverness and we're known for having the best spoken English in the UK (well some of us at least). The way many English regional accents mangle words makes your argument laughable I'm afraid. Point of larger mista?

The new ones are definitely designed to be country workhorses, and in time they will be, but new they're priced to be Chelsea wanktanks.

*charities
Also, we live on an island, the vast majority of goods imported (e.g. food) and exported (e.g. cars) go by sea. We also have a fishing fleet that isn't just there for the hell of it.

At risk of sounding trainspottery, in the UK if there's two tracks it's the same sides cars would drive, ie the left. Stand on a platform and your train is coming from the right, going to the left. From the post, I doubt the OP knows left from right though, tbf.

You're not supposed to come on here and prove the OP correct, but thanks anyway.

That would make the new Ford Capri look like the old one that everyone seems to miss.

26 years and countless phones later, my wife is still prefixed "aaa" in my contact list as a Nokia 5110 could only order names alpha, and at some point Google hoovered all the details in that way. Is that romantic in some way?

Hey, what about the Post Office? Ah, OK.

He's been a noted prick since he interrupted the cave rescue of the Thai football team by making it all about him and his stupidity, then accusing the actual hero who saved them all of being a paedophile. So that's any Tesla bought since 2018.
January 28, 2026 at 11:33 PM
Is it though?

I'm guessing the OP's definition of wealth is as well developed as his palate.
January 24, 2026 at 1:03 AM
Maybe if you set your sights a little higher than a Wetherspoons, McDonald's or your local carvery you'll see it differently.
January 24, 2026 at 12:22 AM
Yeah but they reformed as a new team and they're the same team really etc.
January 23, 2026 at 10:16 PM
I just read that all as euphemism. Was it really about oceans?
January 23, 2026 at 10:15 PM
The car's probably a keeper too, or at least you're losing a packet on it.
