One of my most favorite places in the world is Montaña de Oro state park (California). This is slightly morbid, but I don’t know, it speaks to my heart, when I do pass on, I can’t think of a better place to have my ashes scattered, it’s always given me peace.

Today was my father’s birthday. I had such a…fraught relationship with him over the years, truly don’t think he meant ill will but he often seemed indifferent/absent when it came to me. I miss him regardless and mostly I feel bad that despite his drive for life, it was cut shorter than he deserved.

A while back I was craving Alpha-Bits only to learn they had discontinued it like four or five years ago lol. But hold-up, I just found out that they’re going to be re-releasing it (temporarily, of course) due to popular demand, and we will see if I actually go and buy it when it comes out 😂.

For years I’ve been told that I should watch 40-year-old virgin so I am and I am astounded how much has changed in a mere 20 years, it definitely does make me reminisce and wish for the past, which is neither healthy or productive but…damn.
Side note, the movie is hilarious.

I’m still bummed that they canceled the Netflix show Kaos, it was witty, interesting, and a novel, modern take on Greek mythology. I must be out of sync with what’s popular because it checked all the boxes for me, but for whatever reason I guess didn’t resonate with more people. #Kaos

I very much often wonder how an individual’s terror could compare to the terror felt by any other soul. Is any person’s lack of hope a fraction lesser based upon perceived circumstances or do we each live in an equal hell. Human nature helps us find individual strength through empathy to others.

Watching Wind River, a glorious modern western and a force of film elevated by the consummate effort of its actors and the message it imparts of the fractured inequity still prevalent in the United States. Sexual assault is vile and a scourge demanding eradication by any means necessary.

Today is the 23rd anniversary of my father‘s mother‘s death, I continue to think of her practically every day, when my mom decided she didn’t wanna be a mom anymore my grandma (and of course grandpa) took me in, the next three years were the best of my life. I am eternally grateful for her love.

Regarding the procession for Ozzy’s funeral, the outpouring of love is pretty incredible, almost on a royal, religious, or presidential level of reverence. It’s clear that he appealed to a wide range of people both for his music and unique, endearing personality.

The amount of times I have listened to this Ozzy Osbourne album over the course of my lifetime is practically immeasurable. The dude was both metal incarnate and despite being known as the prince of darkness, at the same time, you knew he was a fun guy. RIP Ozzy, no one did it like you. 🦇
