Gosh who could have predicted this.

Quite galling for IDS to comment seeing as when he was in govt control of our nuclear power stations was being sold to 🇨🇳 companies.

Some things just need to be under national control. (Not confident seeing as we are still not ending 💧privatisation)

Four years ago I took these photos of deserted Soho.

Which also serve as an artist's impression of what the new residents trying to close all the decades-old nightlife venues down would like it to be like permanently.

When exactly was this mythical time when you couldn't? He never seemed to hold back and has been on TV constantly?

The way Thames Water has been run should be a criminal offence.

While I am pleased to see the minimum wage (I am not calling it the "National Living Wage" when it is clearly not) has increased...

...this means that everyone working full time will start repaying student loans from Plan 5 immediately.

Something needs to be adjusted...!

You boy, which far-right splinter group is it?

The Paypal 'interest-free payments' message on the Avanti website fills me with so much despair actually

Not content with trying to trick you into opening a Threads post from Instagram, they are now EMAILING me about posts that appear on there.

Not sure the London Avios Gay community will survive this.

This difference even extends to HGVs. US trucks have an extremely long bonnet, whereas European HGVs attempt to save as much space as possible. Largely because you need to fit these vehicles into a small boat or train (or in fact a more congested motorway) more often than in the US.

We don't have big, boxy, shiny metal trains either, instead we've focused on streamlined (and higher-speed) trains that fit as many people in as possible. The gauge on rails is also wider in the US allowing for wider trains. (There was more existing infrastructure to fit around in Europe.)

Beyond the fact that they're too big, use too much fuel, not as well-made, etc. I think there is a fundamental difference between US and European designs for almost all transport....

Trying to work out if I'm being targeted by Leger Holidays because I've got older or because I've watched that video where the lady says "the 'otel is fabuloushh' too many times.

This article reports on calls to restrict sale and marketing of alcohol.

No mention of why people might be drinking more. No mention of what we should do to make people feel less like they want to drink themselves to death. No mention of how to make the country collectively happier/less depressed.

Might be about to embarrass myself professionally, but did the Mail always reply to nasty comments to egg people on? I feel like this is a new development.

What a miserable little place it's becoming here. Someone needs to legislate to stop people feeling entitled to silence. Life is busy, life is loud. If you hate that, you'll need to go and live extremely rurally.

Councils shouldn't even entertain complaints like this.

I wonder how many people who took part in the riots this summer realise that they are soon to be prevented from entering the EU for a decade.

Honestly should've been recalled for being a desperately horrific idea for a product, rather than safety.

My iPhone is just as shocked as I am to see that this week I finally stopped eating mince pies on the sofa for days on end.

And the very respectful, largely gif-based, memorial pages for Ar Di. Although you will need Real Player to watch the videos. (Anyone under the age of about 32 will need to look up what this means)

Journalism is not adjusting well to an era of less political news and lack of scandals.
