I went to a bunch of MLP cons for the first time ever this summer and I was completely blown away by the experience. It inspired me to pick up a stylus and draw for the first time in over 6 months. There really is no fandom quite like this one.

Allison's prints of the mane 6 are fantastic, I had to get the entire set. They are absolutely wonderful. (The autographs not part of the picture, I got them signed because they are just that good).

It's too damn hot to sleep so like any normal person I'm watching a documentary about public housing in the United States and specifically the failure of public housing projects in St. Louis, Missouri (The Pruitt-Igoe Myth 2011). I swear I'm not a freak, I just think public infrastructure is neat.

Go watch (or preferably read) Medalist. It's genuinely so good. Never could have imagined that a manga about little girls figure skating could be so hardcore.

Watched Schindler's List (1993) on a whim for the first time in decades and it genuinely is a masterfully shot movie. And masterfully acted. Arguably Spielberg's best film. 195 minutes can be a bit daunting but honestly it just flew by.

Youtube algorithm seems to have picked up "Freddie As F.R.O.7", a discount VHS bin classic. I kind of love it, partially because of nostalgia and the beautiful background paintings, but mostly because character and story wise it's just really dumb and all over the place. Banger villain song too.

My brain randomly dug up memories of reading Paperinik New Adventures (Called Taikaviitta 2000 in Finnish) as a kid. Donald Duck as a hardcore sci-fi batman stand-in might sound silly but back then it was absolute peak comic books. #comics
