I'm grateful to live in an area @mrjamesob.bsky.social where we still have a lot of sense of community. Not everyone wants it, and I've come across some chilling forces against it all,
but after losing my job last year the community groups have really helped me avoid that abrupt sense of isolation.

My washing machine is a tad on the tardy side @mrjamesob.bsky.social. I think it might be because the supply of water is a little bit iffy, but I have no qualifications and I'm not goining to try ringing in at this stage.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social Yes, seeing films in the cinema is so much better. I find it takes me so much longer to get through a film, mainly because when thoughts distract me at home I hit the '10 seconds back' button. In the cinema the film plays mercilessly, so I am forced to pay attention. So good..

@mrjamesob.bsky.social On a similar point to being plagued by attention deficit when watching films at home, the fact that there is a 10-seconds-back button on the streaming, means that I often spend 2.5 hours watching a 90 minute film. This makes it less enjoyable than watching a film in the cinema

Another film I saw recently was Will & Harper (2024).

Yesterday I watched Promising Young Woman (2020) for a second time. I reviewed it when I first saw it in April 2023, and felt slightly differently about it this time around. I'm still amazed but I'm thinking of making a second review.

Yesterday I watched Promising Young Woman (2020) for a second time. I reviewed it when I first saw it in April 2023, and felt slightly differently about it this time around. I'm still amazed but I'm thinking of making a second review.

Here's one more from North Wales. In May 2010 I went with my dad for a drive down the Lleyn Peninsula/Y Llŷn, and at Pistyll, near the small town of Nefyn, we had a walk across the fields and up to a headland with picturesque sea views. I think it's a lovely place to visit!🙂

Here's one more from North Wales. In May 2010 I went with my dad for a drive down the Lleyn Peninsula/Y Llŷn, and at Pistyll, near the small town of Nefyn, we had a walk across the fields and up to a headland with picturesque sea views. I think it's a lovely place to visit!🙂
