I understand this. While I want a place of my own, a home represents stability, safety, and a dream of a future. And those things are at odds with life right now. Hard to embrace that dream when so many are being taken from their homes or have that safety threatened. The fireplace is nice.

Thanks for the recommendation! That is exactly what I am trying to do. Read things that fill me with hope and courage. I'm also wanting to be challenged and my typical reading material, while I enjoy, is not challenging.

My goal this year is to read things that I can be proud of. I read way too much "low brow". I have my eye on some philosophy and biographies. I will accept recommendations.

Such an important book. It changes you as most Morrison books do.

It was a fun read. There is a second book that takes place in the same world but different characters. It too is a good read.
