Just a reminder on its US release that I wrote deeply on Wes Anderson's latest and already underrated film The Phoenian Scheme, which once more expands Anderson's world and concerns in the most striking and unexpectedly revealing of ways. Essential!

If you didn't know it already, Danny DeVito is a master director and The War of the Roses, being a masterpiece and everything, is an absolute tour de force display of that.

I'm looking to do a write up on the Rugrats and wanted to know what the highest quality sources for episodes is. Currently have 2 versions but want to avoid AI upscales to get the best accuracy. Frame left is of what I believe is the AI, frame right should be the DVDs. If anyone has info, DM me!

Another example is in Om Shanti Om, during the Dhoom Taana sequence, when SRK romantically inserts himself into the Dreamy Girl film-within-a-film

Does anyone have examples of this specific cinematic idea where a character dreams or imagines themselves entering the space of what they see/another person/film?

Example is from De Palma's Hi, Mom!

Maybe controversial. Only film of theirs I don't much care for is O Brother, may have to give it another go someday
