Great 24 hours in awards! I was named Independent Media Production - Chief Commercial Officer of the year in SME News - Visionary Leadership Awards 2025 for my CCO role at Rusty Quill Ltd.

And Last Night #TheMagnusProtocol won Best Horror/ Supernatural Podcast at Independent Podcast Awards 2025.

In Q3 of 2019 one of the first actions I took at Rusty Quill was to plan out a cohesive merchandise strategy as part of my work to create the Rusty Quill marketing (and sales) strategy. Fortunately, everyone was willing to bear with me while I wrote over 100 pages of plans. I knew Rusty Quill could provide innovative products tied to our IPs to audiences all over the world. Merchandise was one of three areas I identified that we could begin to execute right away before the end of Q1 2020. By 2021 we went from hundreds of pounds a month of merchandise sales in 2019 to our first >£1M annual gross revenue from merch. In 2023 merchandise sales had grown to >£3M. Over 60% of sales of our merchandise products are in the US and Canada. However, working closely with our partners we get products from America and Canada to UK Customers (including items like perfume) and we've shipped products from the UK to the rest of the world. I'm still working my way through executing the first 10 years of that strategy and adapting it as I go. I'm excited to see what the next five years brings. But I'd love to be able to count on greater support at a policy level in to my merchandise and IP plans.
