So yeah, broken people aren’t going to accept my gay child and that is upsetting as fuck. I don’t have answers but I do believe that healing is possible from almost everything and also, my primary job as a parent is to show her the doors to self acceptance and self love.

Oh. Baby boomers, and GenX ppl in demographics least likely to overcome cycles of domestic abuse.

Gen X people. I know TONS. Breaking the cycle of abuse is a full time job if you decided to have kids at all

Gen X is severely reprimanded for knowing better about climate and well, everything and not doing enough, but I don’t think we talk enough about how many Gen ppl had parents who were neglectful or big believers in abuse as a parenting philosophy.

I am so sorry to hear that and I relate. I have been doing zero news days and zero social media days, and I have also been trying to stay really busy with housecleaning and time with the girls, but it’s just not a good time for humanity at all.
