From what I understand, Mexico would respectfully request it be removed from the list of places Americans should consider moving.

I audibly chuckled when I heard an NPR host say "she left early to attend a FEMA meeting that was canceled." That's about as close to "had to flee in embarrassment" as you are likely to see from a mainstream news outlet.

Unfortunately we are likely to see similar impacts on US research and NGOs. How comfortable would you be investing in equipment and hiring staff if your entire grant could be frozen or cancelled on a whim? How can anyone have faith that the government will make good on a contract?

I was going to say! His body language reminds me of the unfortunate experience I had striking up a conversation at the DMV with a guy who thought the system was down because the CIA was out to get him.

I couldn't make it to the clip because I couldn't get passed the bit where she dresses RFK jr like an idealist who had to do something bad (endorse Trump) to do good. As if we skip over the fact that the 'good' RFK is trying to do is to make millions of children vulnerable to preventable illnesses.

She consulted Henry Kissinger on foreign policy until he died. She is not losing sleep over the bombing of civilians.

Boldly proposing the same ideas with the same strategies that got us into this mess.

It sounds like Northwestern wants the encampment back.

"What was it like investigating someone who is better qualified for your job than you are?" is a pressing question that we need journalists to ask.

We use a revolutionary technique where we pay nuns to follow them around with rulers, thwacking their knuckles when they feel compelled to vote for things they never bothered to read.

Did you know that at least 6 of 100 US Senators cannot read? Just a few dollars a day can further the Campaign for Congressional Literacy.

These are consequences senator. Not recriminations. If you don't like these consequences, you probably should have worked harder to help your colleagues make better choices.

Looking forward to the primaries!

I know just how you feel

To be fair, they didn't say what their position actually is on any of the above issues. For all we know a bicycle murdered their whole family.
October 30, 2025 at 12:53 AM
That is interesting. Thank you for the response. To follow up, how much do you trust candidates to honestly represent their own policy positions?

I'm fascinated by this. What would you say are the most important issues in the mayors race?

Same but my uncle bob was just our chain smoking elderly neighbor. "Don't do what uncle Bob does" (the think he would say when we would pass him smoking on his porch) is still my family's version of 'Do what I say, not what I do.'

Yeah 'fuckin lib' is pretty leftist coded. I feel like a conservative would call them a commie or something truly stupid like demoncrat.
October 22, 2025 at 8:21 PM
And just like that, what looked like an exciting election returned to the traditional beige of Democratic party politics.
October 22, 2025 at 7:18 PM
Okay not only that but the administration is claiming it didn't have to involve the National Capital Planning Commission because "they only have authority over construction, not destruction". They are tearing down the east wing before even beginning the process of planning to build anything new.

The only way congress votes to put the breaks back on is if a Democrat governs as aggressively as Trump. Send the FCC after Fox news. Use rescission to defund ICE. Audit companies that are bribing trump for special treatment. Republicans will be jumping to kill the unitary executive theory.

Absolutely wild. You’d think a school would be a pretty obvious gun free zone.

SCOTUS 2024: the 14th amendment is too burdensome to enforce.

SCOTUS 2025: the 4th amendment is to burdensome to enforce.

Current doctrine is clear: the constitution should only be followed if it is convenient.
