I would say Dr Robotnik’s Ring Racers does a mostly good job with how it handles traditional kart racer mechanics and tries to make them more “fair” or skill-expressive, but it has its own set of issues (a lot of maps are Not Good)
On top of being a racer for masochists with a lot going on.
