It doesn't matter how hard you try to direct people on Instagram to a link, they act like it's not there and react solely to the photo you posted. I don't know why I'm still surprised. It's Instagramland, where people have lost the ability to read or perceive that a world exists outside Instagram.

Trump turned his power into a racial crusade a long time ago. Calling that out isn’t stirring division. This is telling the truth.

If you haven't heard, he gifted his entire catalog to Greenland for free. He says he hopes it will "ease some of the unwarranted stress…you are experiencing from our unpopular and hopefully temporary government,”

After being held in two of them as a boy, I fought for decades urging America to never again build concentration camps and put human beings in them. It breaks my heart to watch this happen twice now in my own lifetime.

There's a sign up the road that says "THINK HORSES" so that is exactly what I have been doing lately. There's been SO much think about, including great horse-themed songs, the crucial historical role of horses in work, war and culture, plus what it might be like to have a saddle and only one toe.

I see you internet people, inventing another acronym which makes you look cool in front of other internet people and makes people like me confused. But have you thought about the bigger picture? What when all the acronyms run out? Have you ever considered that?

I am more ok with February than most winter haters but it still often feels like an unwanted encore by a band who built their fame on one depressing song.

One of the many reasons I dislike winter so much is that every day in December feels like like a Friday but in all the worst ways, and that’s followed by January, where every day feels like a Monday but in all the worst ways.

Sometimes, despite my more self-preserving intentions, I do find myself thinking about the person who, when I posted this pic of Charles and Jim a year or two back on Instagram and suggested they were lovers, replied by saying "Don't be so bloody ridiculous! Cats can't be gay."
... This came across initially as an act of kindness towards a less fortunate cat who'd never known the comfort of central heating or soft duvets but we soon discovered that Charles had a more selfish motive: after much searching, he had finally found the unpaid personal valet he'd been looking for.
