Farmer, writer, progressive, activist. Respect art, the written word, the comfort found in fellowship with others. These are dark times, but with the help of others we will come out the other side better than before.
would love to see the survey so that I could see how he managed to get a positive score at all.

I read about the horrors that were visited upon the people of Syria. Post fall of al-Assad, they are still waiting for anyone to pay a price for the hundreds of thousands killed. We must guard against that happening in this country. when trump is gone, they must pay for their cruelty.

I was happy to read about her running for the Texas senate seat. The combination of her education, intelligence, and willingness to call out the mf'ers that have been making a mess of this country for far too long will take her far. She will appeal to a very large segment of that electorate.

I look forward to the day when all of this is removed. The peoples house must reflect a subtle grander and permanence the years have imbued. Wash away the gaudy trinkets, the images of an aging buffoon, replacing it with seriousness and empathy. The stench of corruption will fade, eventually.

The US leaving NATO means of course that Russia could expand its war beyond Ukraine, and the US wouldn't have the awkward issue of having to send troops to fight Putin. Has nothing to do with these excuses, and is instead an unwillingness to support the countries that have always supported the US.

No cutting down trees for Christmas here. We plant about 100 or so trees every year - all kinds. Not a tree in sight when we bought the property, and about 600 trees later we can already see the impact to the environment - warms my heart.

Every time a Dem or Ind win in a district previously held by a Rep, we are led to believe this was because the candidate had incredible energy, etc. Actually it was because the candidate organized, engaged, and made themselves visible to the electorate. Status quo has kept red districts red.

I don't have confidence that Jeffries is the right person for the job of removing the administration via this method. To go this route we need someone far more persuasive and energetic.

His own actions fuel his accusations. I do believe he knows little of what is happening via the autopen, or even the documents he signs himself. Hardly aware of those around him, it makes it likely everything placed before him comes with an explicit 'do this, sign here' directive.

He's my governor, and I sincerely hope he is not the nominee. When I realized that his ex-wife was Kimberly Guilfoyle, when we had to live through the scandal that was his covid lockdown dinner out, that told me all I needed to know about him. Chameleon, glib, looks the part but lacks sincerity.

I saw video of him the other day, his lips were blue. The combination of blue lips, sleeping away the day, rapidly worsening cognitive decline all made me wonder if maybe it was heart failure. Late stage drugs to treat heart failure are delivered via IV.

Perhaps these immigrants were afraid because they heard that gangs from South America were in the US, the same gangs that have terrorized so many that have sought asylum here. Trump promised to find and deport these criminals. Now they know those stories were false and that trump lies. go figure.

I can tell you from direct experience that the ones at the top are the least capable of the bunch. The ones that actually code, the brains behind the software are not public facing and are rarely given credit for their contributions.

We were discussing the disconnect between the stock market and the reality in which we live. Job market sucks, commodity prices high, government expenses high, wages down or stagnate. The market is betting against prosperity, betting on the collapse and hoping to sell just before the crash.

There were more than 2 people in that boat. All of them were murdered. These boats are not a direct threat to the US, we are not at war with Venezuela. As has been done for years, these drug boats are intercepted by the Coast Guard, drugs confiscated, operators arrested. Not murdered.

Closer to the truth than many on the right would ever admit.

everything in this country is created to generate a profit. at the expense of everyone. the rich can brush off the expense, but the poor cannot - and so most of us fall behind. the idea that a family could afford 50k a year for health insurance is proof that things are broken, maybe beyond repair.
