My saddest deaths of Harry Potter ranked:

1. Sirius Black
2. Hedwig
3. Snape
4. Dumbledore
5. Cedric Diggory

Remus Lupin doesn't make the list because by the time he died, his life was already just. so. tragic. So...death was sweet release from that.

Also, we got a replacement blender, and our flatmate asked if this one was "the same loud" as the last one.

Ha, tell us how you really feel!

To be fair, we blend....probably more than your average household.

Our youth were ON FIRE at the Christmas party tonight...dropping hilarious one-liners.

My favorite:

Me: "We could hang out on the 20th...oh, that's your birthday."
A: "Oh."
Me: "Are you doing anything?"
A: "Does it SOUND like I'm doing anything?!"

Parents, I don't care about your Elf on the shelf...I'm sure it's magical for your child, but I would prefer it not clutter up my feed. I guess I'll just mute you 'till after Christmas.

Things observed in Riga on Independence Day that I (still) don't understand as a foreigner: 1. 7:30 a.m. parade of traditional guilds(?) that no one was watching. Just men walking through the street.

Nostalgia... www.billboard.com/music/music-...

I went to this show to see Tapes n Tapes...and Cold War Kids blew us away. I remember the moment my head SNAPPED toward the stage during Saint John.
Tapes ‘N Tapes, Cold War Kids / Oct. 19, 2006 / Columbia, Mo. (Mojo’s)
It was hipster central inside the dark, dingy walls of Mojo's in Columbia, Mo., when indie buzz bands Cold War Kids and Tapes 'N Tapes rolled into town on Oct. 19. Unfortunately, as the show kicked of...

I love ordering food. I love watching the app and counting down until it gets here. It's so exciting. One of the little joys in life. 29 minutes until Indian Raja gets here, FYI.

In the year of our lord 2025, I finally learned how to export something from Illustrator. It's the only Adobe product I have no idea how to use. Maybe I should learn it?

Every year, immigration is an adventure. Something different & weird always happens. This year, when our organization invited us, they got a call IMMEDIATELY & asked to explain why they (instead of our previous organization) were inviting us. I braced for being denied, but yesterday we were approved

SEO marketing task of the day: looking for a photo of feet that my client didn't add a name to.... so fun.

Thoughts this morning:
1. Where does the sky start?
2. Eggs are such a weird concept.
Feeling existential, I guess.

I was eating a cookie at the beginning of an online meeting, and when it finished, the other person said, "Enjoy your cookies." I thought, a la @mulaney.bsky.social, "Those are LONG GONE." ...like the fruit loops. I've watched The "Baby J" special TOO MANY TIMES.

Things that made us laugh before 8 a.m.:
1) the scene in the West Wing when Josh and CJ find out the correct proportions of the world map
2) our wobbly cat playing with a sticker
3) incorrect pronunciation of “ibumetins” I-boom-etins.
It feels good to laugh.

I follow a college-aged, U.S. based influencer. Today she posted a reel from her car about how EVERYONE needs a "car pack" of toiletries. Her "car pack" is more than what I use on a daily basis at home!

We all saw/heard JD Vance say family...neighbor...community...fellow citizens IN YOUR OWN COUNTRY...then the rest of the world...?

Just no. This is what I like to call shady theology, my friends.

What else can I say? I've been struggling to figure out how to use this platform. I used to tweet all of (somewhat interesting?) thoughts/experiences. I don't know if NOT posting all those things is a mark of maturity, or if I'm lacking self confidence on the internet now? What a concept.

Finally snowing today! Too warm to stick to the ground.... but enjoying it while it lasts! Winter is my second favorite season, and I feel like it hasn't even started yet.

Goodreads is drunk. I've read 3 books so far this year, but I'm behind on my goal. I opened a library book on my Kindle and it says I've already read it. I joined The Story Graph, but wasn't planning on EXCLUSIVELY switching. Now, I might....

I'm not MUCH in the Christmas spirit this year, but I also cannot stop eating gingerbread cookies.

HATE that I forgot my towel for the gym and couldn't sauna. I need my daily 15 of dry heat to warm up in this cold country.

Husband left me for 24 hours in the countryside. #dramatic Slept like poo without him. Pup was nervous all night. Tired, but happy to be at work today and sit across from a former foster youth in recovery and hear her heart for found family. I love my job on days like this. 💛💛💛
