This pink border is where our hideous oil tank used to be before we got our heat pump. The dahlia is Fascination underplanted with Persecaria Red Rragon with Salvia Cerro Petosi and a pink cosmos in the background. 🇬🇧🌱

We opened for the National Garden Scheme at the weekend and despite some challenging weather we welcomed over 100 people to the garden and raised over £1000 for nursing charities.🇬🇧🌱

I have posted about this before but this amazing Salvia really knocks me out! When we open for the National Garden Scheme on the weekend of the 13th September it will be the star amongst the many salvias and dahlias on display-along with a thriving Kitchen Garden and some roses making a comeback.🇬🇧🌱

A video of our chilli greenhouse. Some ripe, some ripening. Some picked for freezing, drying or just eating. 10 varieties ranging from very hot ( chocolate habanero) to very mild (palivec). 🇬🇧🌱

Today was “tattie howking” day - or potato harvesting day for those who are not from a rural Scottish background. Excellent crop of pink fir apple potatoes. We were assisted by Betty who as I am sure you can imagine was a great help! 🇬🇧🌱 #internationaldogday

We bought this machine years ago and it has served us well. I’ve had to repair it a couple of times as I couldn’t find a like for like. The metal one is so robust.Passata every year which we use pasta dishes, paella and more.

Breakfast this morning topped with Figs, Plums, Mulberries, Blackberries, Raspberries, and Japanese Wineberries - all picked fresh from the garden. This delight will only last a few weeks - but it is THE best time!!
