The body moved slowly, methodically, as if guided forward by puppet strings. The limbs were not broken, nor disjointed- and yet, the body twitched as if it were made of mismatched parts. That was normal in the beginning; the body fighting off this foreign intrusion of mind and soul. Step, step, step, pause. Turn- carefully. There was more fight in this vessel than previous ones, how curious. Well, no- it wasn’t a vessel just yet. Still alive, still breathing, still warm to the touch. It would still bleed if it’s flesh were spliced open. What a beautiful puppet. “Your hair, it’s a mess,” he murmured. The locks were soft against his fingers, longer than he would have thought them to be. “Pretty,” his smile softened as the Torchbearer tilted his head into the touch. “Pretty, pretty boy.” “You can’t say things like that,” Torchbearer whined softly, eyes falling shut as Clancy’s fingers tugged on his hair gently- as if he were testing what he could do, how- He woke early; early enough that Blurry was still sound asleep next to him, breathing deeply, the blanket pulled up to his nose. His hair, forehead, eyes- that was all he could see of him. When he slept like this, he reverted back to his base form- the black creeping up to settle around the edges of his face, making it appear like he wore one of those full venetian masks. He reached over, smoothing a finger down the bridge of Blurry’s nose, watched as he scrunched it up in his sleep and nuzzled deeper into the blanket pile. He’d kill for him. Yawning quietly, Spooky Jim stretched his arms up over his head, his back arching and popping softly with the movement. He climbed out of their essential nest- a giant, soft, circular mattress on the floor, covered with blankets ( mostly for Blurry ) and pillows ( mostly for him ). He grimaced as his toe beans touched the cold concrete flooring. Pushing himself up, he couldn’t help but stretch one more time- long, languid, feeling his spine relax, his joints clicking. That DID mess up his tempo as he tripped and went sideways into a wall. “Fuckin’ ouch,” he grunted, panting as he leaned against the building. This was… Dorm block A? His apartment was two streets down, these were the sophomore dorms. Pushing off of the wall, he rolled his shoulder with a grimace. Hot shower was definitely necessary now, even if he’d rather take a cold one to calm down- for multiple reasons, now. Grumbling under his breath, he finished his jog to Bleed It Out, whispering the lyrics under his breath as he reached his apartment building. His apartment was on the third floor- top floor. Which was nice, he didn’t have to worry about hearing anyone stomping around, but he was more mindful about his downstairs neighbors in these early mornings. Careful steps as he also had to avoid stepping on Donnie, who was weaving between his legs as if he’d magically returned home with more food. Which, no, he hadn’t, they had eaten already.

His fingers slid along his rosary; one Hail Mary for each bead. “Forgive me, Father-” “-for I have sinned.” The man finished with ease, his head bowed low, hands clasped between his thighs tightly rather than in the normal prayer. “I must confess, I have sinned many a time, and I know that I will sin more after this night. I know my soul is damned, and there is no way I can atone for that.”
