We've spent more time thinking of where our money goes, and it feels good. I'm not saying my individual boycott is making a difference. But a collective one can AND it does matter if you can shift any of that over to a small business. They notice.

Go to Protectmypublicmedia.org and contact your reps. Also call them and ask them to fund the grants that support public media. You might mention news and weather in rural areas that your local station covers. Also, if you want to donate, donate to your local station.

Make it real uncomfortable for them. I probably can't change my rep's mind, but I can make it real uncomfortable for him. And show other like-minded people that they aren't alone.

I should add that I work in a school setting and felt it was better safe than sorry. MMR is considered a lifetime vaccine. When I asked about a titer test to see if I had antibodies, my doctor suggested just getting the booster for $$ reasons. Consult you doctor, blah blah blah.
