I don’t know how you keep recruits after making promises of a new facility to realize that the new AD pulled it off the table and prioritized everything else over them.

I get that, I’m just more pissed that it was board approved and then they pulled it back. And the AD could have at least acknowledged the gymnast alumn were trying to have a conversation with him. Take Haller for what he was worth it, but he was always willing to communicate with us.

Mostly football, some basketball, more on hockey even though they just got renovations, a hell of a lot on suites and ‘renovations’ to Jenison— which look like a room for wrestling and practice spot for volleyball. I should be grateful we still have a gymnastics program. But F….

Since the gymnasts were no longer getting a new facility what were the plans for Jenison, etc. He never responded. Not even a, hey thanks, i got your letter. Today we find out— we can’t spend 90 million on a new facility for gymnastics, wrestling, and volleyball, but 1 billion for… 2/3

To the football/hockey/bball fan this is awesome. Wrestling and Gymnastics got screwed. And if my kid is a non revenue kid looking at schools— a die hard Spartan athlete alumn who named her daughter Jenison will not allow her kid to even look at MSU as a potential school.

All the alumni gymnasts emailed a letter to Batt, he couldn’t even take the time to respond to us. We gotta pay 10,000 to rent our Breslin anytime we want to compete there. Our program doesn’t have money for that.
