Trying to think of a funny plural form for Beaker. A Bunsen of Beakers? A Burette?

You know , this is genuinely beautiful and then I see the giant “sample text“ in the corner and it makes me laugh. you’re genuinely really good at including just enough humor to avoid being crushingly heavy.

I legit forgot Takahashi reused this character design for Myoga in Inuyasha with some minor edits lol

The ”rocket science“ exchange in the first book was incredibly funny specifically because of this disconnect lol

Also do note the use of the word “Household” there and not “individuals”, how many people on average are in those households? Are their children or dependents? Are they proposing children should get jobs to put food on the table?

I’d genuinely be shocked if he could find beer that cheap. Jokes aside I generally find trying to put like strict limitations on what people can spend money on in terms of food/drinks is not worth the effort it takes to enforce it.

Even with a digital artists, they have to maintain their computer and pay for equipment like tablets and software licenses.

Also I do want to point put that of you were say like working with canvas and paints or were something like a carpenter, you’d presumably be spending money on raw materials for your pieces, not every person just has a bunch of excess materials on hand they can use without spending money.

I love the extra detail of Steve Harvey being in the splash zone for this too since him and Phil decided to launch a joint media company while smoke was actively pouring out of Phil's solo project lol.

It literally had the exact same people who act aggrieved when they get mild pushback from others in the community if they say decided to hang out with people who had bigoted views or who actively downplayed huge issues in the community with stuff like sexism.

I do want to say, as someone who
Was participating in new atheis/youtube atheism back in the 2010s we had people basically doing the “posting up outside a church and challenging people to debates” and that didn’t really meaningfully move the needle long-term.

In the realm of stupid behavior associated with non-profits these are both in fact bad and he should eat some crow for both of these but I wouldn't convict him of a crime were I on the jury.

Honestly my biggest takeaways from the whole episode was specifically:

A) Jirard had a bad habit of claiming it was "his charity" or "My charity" which gave people the impression he was making decisions.

B) He falsely stated they had partnerships with other orgs or made donations to other orgs

I think the main issue is that it’s a bit like a gun where if you just have it sitting in a locked box it’s not able to do anything but hand ot to the wrong person at the wrong time and there’s a risk someone hurts themselves or others

I know Caelan Conrad has a simultaneously funny/upsetting video where they have LLMs basically nodding approvingly when presented with a kill list so it can elope with them after like 5 minutes of conversation.

While I do agree that it’s projecting intent onto something that wholly lacks any I do think of you look into some of the insane dialogue trees people have gotten into with the LLMs that they do pose a certain level of risk if you don’t teach kids how to handle them safely.

I do think there’s some people who can develop bad habits from spending too much time in certain circles but this broadly applies just as much to IRL stuff as it does online stuff. People were just as capable of getting brain rot from IRL spaces as they were the internet before computers.

Honestly I agree that just broadly dismissing stuff that’s online as not being real is extremely dumb. I don’t own a car or have a license and live in a rural area, most of my meaningful social interactions are online aside from my mom and occasional conversations with coworkers.

I will say I’m surprised it’s more and less then I expected at the same time, i thought it would be a little more sketchy and cramped. This looks he had to have done a few test draws before he drafted the letter.
