We should not be surprised that the Republican House majority’s first action is to focus back on attacking trans people. It’s cruel, shameful and does nothing to address lowering costs for families.

If anyone needs some comfort reading in these troubled and troubling times, I suggest A Psalm for the Wild-Built, and its companion A Prayer for the Crown Shy, both by Becky Chambers. They are quiet, hopeful gems - life affirming, questioning and kind. Your heart needs a balm, and these will do.
