Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) was founded over 25 years ago to memorialize the murder of a transgender woman. Since last year’s TDOR, we’ve continued to lose members of our TGI community- and even one life lost is one too many.

On World Mental Health Day 2025, Governor Newsom signed our first LGBTQ Caucus bill — AB 727 (Mark González)! In the face of federal cuts, this signature signifies that LGBTQ+ students will have adequate access to mental health resources in California. 🦋
