As much as I hate Amazon I'd rather have them do the NHL at this point.

Depends on your vocation/job I guess. I'm in software and we use it a lot.

Pretty good haul! My weekend pickup (well last weekend) was Pop (U2) and Hoss (Lagwagon). Had hoped for a good find at the record show the same weekend, but $149 for Girlfriend was too much.

As someone who doesn't get to watch the Jets due to the TSN3 blackout, I feel you.

I'm fine with it not being for profit, it just needs to lose less than a billion a year, that's ridiculous. Some of the proposed government changes like community mailboxes hopefully will help that, but there's got to be some common ground between status quo and nothing.

Depends on how much I liked my in-laws...

Well they'd better be right about this one. They were wrong about the one they used to scare us to death in Boys Brigade during the Gulf War so I sold all my Transformers for nothing.

Was that out at the Leighton Art Center? If so, I'm pretty sure I painted that house in the 3rd photo last year.

Good taste :) For stores, I use Reids locally but also use stylo.ca, torontopenshoppe.com, laywines.com, and gouletpens.com if there's something Reids doesn't have. Goulet is US though so there's potential tariffs and exchange.

For paper, I typically use a LEUCHTTURM journal although I have also used Rhodia notebooks and paper. I find the Rhodia a little "slippery" if that makes sense, but it doesn't bleed through. I've also got some of the Midori paper, and I really like that so far.

My favorite inks at the moment are Pilot Iroshizuku but they ate considered "wet" so if that doesn't appeal skip those ones. A decent ink was the Twsbi inks, and the one I disliked the most was Ferris Wheel Press.

So my favorite pens right now are between the Twsbi Eco and the Opus 88. I also bought a Leonardo Momento Zero which worked poorly for me until I upgraded to a broad nib vs. a medium nib.

If you want any recommendations, let me know. I've found a bunch i love and a few that haven't lived up to the hype.

FYI, it's a gateway pen. I started the same, and now I have 10 pens, multiple bottles of ink, and Japanese paper that "holds the ink well".

It shocked me years ago when I found out the stats on how low the participation rate is from one of our church elders at our evangelical church.
