Only a small portion of the 2026 Boston city budget is going to District 5, says City Council candidate @winstonforboston.bsky.social — Pierre wants to change that, and if elected he will work to get more investment into Hyde Park, Readville, Roslindale and Mattapan.

Winston Pierre’s top three issues, in his race for the District 5 seat on the Boston City Council, are Housing, Public Safety and Education. He’s seeking ways to keep rents affordable for seniors and young people. He advocates for clean streets. He champions job training for high schoolers.

Enjoying the afterglow at the dedication ceremony for the tennis courts at Almont Park, Al and Dorothy Lewis celebrated their wins. They will have been married for 65 years in August.
