Racing fanatic, music fan and musician, did I mention racing? Oh, and I like racing a lot, all kinds. Dirt track, road course, stock cars, you name it. Oh, and I hate fascists and both of the mainstream political parties. Screw them both, vote third party.
Looking forward to the new COTA layout next weekend. Ready to get the hell off the super-speedways, even if Atlanta is getting better every year. Speaking of, watch how tires become even more of a factor starting as early as the fall race this year. Should be interesting 🤔

Make a regulation, officiate to that regulation. I get that’s what is happening now, this is true, but the regulation is flawed and incomplete. Anyways, great race today, all things considered. It’s just the wrong type of “photo finish” if you ask me. Congrats to Christopher Bell.

In fact, that was the EXACT same spot, if not a bit further down the back stretch, as the crash at the end of the truck series race. This is why you standardize the call with a rule; as mentioned in a previous installment of “Yelling into the Void About #NASCAR”.

Overall, great Daytona 500, and I’m happy for William Byron. Now, can we please stop having Trump at the races? I don’t want Dems there either, I just want to watch fast cars and drivers drive in circles.

At tracks shorter than 1.5 miles, but longer than .5 miles, the wreck must be beyond the halfway point of the back straight to allow for a race to the checkered. At .5 mile tracks the mark for a race back to the line is set at the entry to turn three.

It needs to be set in stone what happens in these scenarios. It’s not particularly hard. At tracks 1.5 miles long and longer, if a wreck occurs beyond turn 2, you let the field race back to the checkered flag.
