I find it heartbreaking that today we lost not one, but TWO voice actors from Nicktoons I grew up watching. We lost Jeff Garcia, the voice of Sheen Estevez in Jimmy Neutron, and now also Jim Ward, the voice of Doug Dimmadome, owner of the Dimmsdale Dimmadome in The Fairly OddParents. 🪦

From my opinion, it doesn’t necessarily matter how overused these tropes are as long as they’re executed well. I don’t really care for the “babyfied” trope (sans “Agent Doof” from P&F), but many of these tropes can still work if the writing is good and makes sense for what they’re going for.

How ironic because later on, Lunella finally reveals herself to her family, which then leads to her mom forbidding her from doing her Moon Girl job again for a while. The “protecting your identity” trope is the whole point of superhero shows in general (including MG&DD and H&G) and Ryan missed it.

This movie is irrefutable proof that #SpongeBob ABSOLUTELY should have ended years ago. It ABSOLUTELY needs to end because now the show has gotten so bad to the point that THIS is the bottom of the barrel that they reached.

I’m in a state of depression right now. Finding out that the Corporation for Public Broadcasting is gonna be shutting down at the end of January 2026 due to being defunded by Congress with Mr. Orange Nutcase. The CPB helped fund many of my favourite PBS shows and seeing it go really upsets me.
