We hope these data will be a useful resource for the field, and that our findings could help guide the development of therapeutic strategies shaped by the unique impacts of different forms of substance use disorder.

Throughout the paper, outline general patterns of transcriptional regulation, gene networks and biological processes and affected, and try to identify some underlying regulatory systems involved.

Using RNAseq on FACS-sorted nuclei from D1 or D2 MSNs across different exposure conditions, we find that while these different classes of drugs induce a lot of parallel changes to the transcriptome, many patterns of gene expression are highly divergent, particularly in D2s.
