I'm just not 100% convinced that there is such a clear distinction between these intrinsic and extrinsic factors - I guess as hardship becomes psychosomatic it becomes a far more complex thing to disentangle

I agree with the point that destigmatisation of suffering should be inclusive of both internal and external factors so that we can facilitate a more popular understanding of the social determinants of health-

Rather than offering us the opportunity to locate and recognise parts of our suffering in collective experiences we are having (climate breakdown, racism, rising inequality, geopolitics).

Because even non-participation in platform capitalism is a choice laden with meaning, self-efficacy and one's own sense of agency is challenged within this broader zeitgeist of the internet

As these platforms become increasingly contested spaces, the meaning that derives from engaging in them is shifting. Yet participation (or non-participation) is a condition of modernity.

I think that when we look at our engagement with intention it affords us the opportunity to work towards care and apply a framework of justice, I guess it is the responsibility of each occupational therapist to take these and apply them in their own practice / setting :)
