Recent California Transplant to Arizona, hence the name.
Politically Progressive
Socially Liberal

I may need help adjusting to my new Culture.

Government should do the most good for the most people, otherwise what's the point.

I hate my life.
I just got fired; a year before I was supposed to retire.
My wife went from Publishing and Graphics design Guru to Alzheimer's riddled old lady in 20 months.
Medical bills have already eaten a decade into our retirement funds.
And my brother is a MAGA asshole threatening to shoot me

Just drove in my first Arizona rain storm... what I would deem a 4 out of 10.

I take back EVERY bad thought I ever had about California drivers in the rain.... Oh. My. Gawd!

Major highways that don't drain water and drivers refusing to go over 30 in a light to moderate downpour. WTF Arizona?

trump supporters are the stupidest people on the planet.

They knew what he was like. He TOLD THEM what he was going to do.
And the MAGA morons still voted for him and are now upset that he is doing EXACTLY what he said he was going to do.

trumpers are LITERALLY the stupidest people on the planet.

As the ONLY state to not officially recognize Martin Luther King Jr Day as a Federal holiday, there sure are a lot of closed businesses today in Arizona.

Can you spell "Hypocrisy"?

Couldn't happen to a more deserving asshat.
Donald Trump being thoroughly emasculated in the global press.

For 2 people, my monthly grocery bill in CA averaged about $300

So far, in AZ, shopping at the exact same chain store as in CA, and buying the exact same products, my monthly average for groceries is about $450.

That's a 50% increase in cost!

Why are groceries so fukn expensive in this state?

My Property Taxes in California = 1%
My Property Taxes in Arizona = 12.5% Total state & county

Sales Tax on Food in California = 0%
Sales Tax on Food in Arizona = 2.83%

So much for the myth of California being a "High Tax" state

Anyone know what AZ did with the nearly $1 billion it was given to upgrade high speed internet in the state?

I can't find an ISP anywhere in Central AZ that guarantees faster than 100kbps.... just fast enough to watch YouTube videos at 480p that isn't a satellite service.

I need speed for my job!

So was today Drink and Drive Day in Arizona?

Just the half hour drive to my mom's and I watch three different cars drive right off the road... the first one hit the center railing, the next one missed a curve in the road and drove into a ditch, and the third swerved to avoid rear ending someone.

Fuk, groceries are expensive in AZ!
My grocery bill has increase by 50% since moving here from CA. Seriously, food here is stupidly expensive.
I can only assume its the cost of trucking it all inland from the coast.

And that's before the next admin's Tariffs go into place.

My Take on Driving in AZ:

Pros:
* Higher speed Limit
* Lower Gas Prices
* Roundabouts

Cons:
* Nobody uses Cruise Control
* Slower Traffic Does NOT Pull Right
* Lane Lines, Traffic Signals, & "Right of Way" are all just suggestions.
