As to atrophy, I find working with AI engaging intellectually. It allows me to focus on issues and persuasion instead of grunt work

I’m not defending AI companies. I’m using their product to defend the indigent in a court of law. And if you don’t think AI is here to stay, I’m not sure you understand how technological advances work.

For decades? The first modern LLM came out in 2018.
And if you’ve been using them, why do you ask, “And this is work you can’t do yourself for some reason?” That’s a question from someone who doesn’t know how to properly use an LLM.

Maybe try to learn about how AI can augment the skills of experts in various fields — that includes law, medicine, business, etc.
AI is here to stay and it’s only going to get much more powerful. We need to harness it to help the causes we care about, and not simply shout into the wind.
