The man must be held responsible for murder/attempted murder. But the US under DJT is also culpable. For the care he should have received & for the NG being deployed where it shouldn't have been. An absolute tragedy for the woman & her loved ones. They should sue the govt & they should win.

Especially because they also face the threat of violence in their country of birth. The man who killed the NG soldier had PTSD, from his work for the US military. He also found out a fellow Afghani soldier was denied asylum. US veterans kill over less than that, with PTSD always a factor.

Foreign nationals who assisted the US military in Afghanistan etc, especially in forward positions, should be given as close to US veteran status as possible, with the same access to care. We know what PTSD does/can do to our veterans. Why would we think it would be any different for Afghanis?

R/Cs want govt $ used on warfare & corporate welfare only. You don't want $ for treatment, or universal healthcare, which would reduce OUD related to chronic pain; or $ to reduce or treat trauma, etc. You aren't pro-life, just pro-birth. After that you become VERY selective about which lives matter.

It's VETERANS DAY. Vets' lives are saved daily by having narcan & safe needles, i.e. HARM REDUCTION. This piece is more proof that the R./C. defense that extrajudicial killings & border 'security' are r/t concern for people with opioid use disorder is such B.S. You don't care about people with OUD.

You supposedly 'smart' Conservatives have access to the facts of CC's depravity, & the fact that Italian immigrants chose CC to counteract hatred/violence they got for being non-WASPs taking jobs from 'real' Americans (today they are Latinos). And yet you spew this jingoistic propaganda. Pathetic.

The unequivocalanswer is: no. Even if Israel/Hamas keep the ceasefire terms & even if 47's admin had a part in crafting it, in no respect does that mitigate the lack of peace he has caused across the world via tariffs/shuttering USAid, etc., & in the US, institgating unrest to justify force. Gross.

If common sense were the current norm, neither Trump nor Hegseth would be in govt & NR's purported Judeo-Christian, pro-life Conservatives wouldn't give ANY support to a man who suggests ignoring the rules of engagement, see: blowing up Venezualan boats; or human rights: see ICE's brutality, daily.

Forgiven? You mean praised. Praise is what should be offered for ignoring any "health" advice from RJK Jr, DT, or anyone else in his administration. Even, sadly, Dr. Oz. If you truly understood national security, you'd be URGING citizens to ignore them. On really everything they advise or support.

Remember when Rs nominated DT & he asked Putin to release files on HRC, as one example? And he won & D's launched investigations on credible evidence, & the man's own staff warned us how unlawful he was? It's D's fault? Y'all elected the guy whose business survived via illegality & lawfare. Own it.

Charlie Kirk was a reason I feared & prayed for the US's future. And his death is yet another entry in the heartbreaking ledger of gun murders in a nation with insufficient gun laws & a grotesque right-wing gun culture. HIS radicalized lack of grief for gun victims was chilling. He needed prayers.

There was no harmful CoVid vaccine (or mask) overreach. Thousands saved & thousands more had less serious disease course. Seat belts also provide differential protection based on the severity of the wreck & the people in it. Do you deny efficacy of seat belt laws too? Public health is natl security.
September 8, 2025 at 3:26 PM
7/11 paragraphs on CDC's response to CoVid. A response burdened by the same right-wing anti-science attitudes that elevated RFK Jr. Barely 4 paragraphs on how he is now destroying agencies crucial to public health & thus natl security. CDC vs CoVid saved lives. RFK Jr. vs science will only kill.

Republicans' dismissive attitude towards comprehension of why a good # of US citizens, praying Christians (and other faiths) or not, are sick of R's 'thoughts and prayers' response to catastrophes, gun-related or not, is facile and insulting to victims.

The fact that your excerpt starts: "agents are simply doing their job" Uhm, so were the Gestapo. You give them a pass? Police violently enforcing Jim Crow (the law of the land then)? Soldiers at the My Lai massacre? Can you possibly be this obtuse or oblivious? You are on the wrong side of history.

Conservatives telling us you don't care about the people who receive vital services CPB stations provide in, for example, the rural parts of the US. The quiet part out loud. They won't perhaps know what they've got until it's gone. Fox News et al will not fill the gap of critical information. Gross.
