And he's using "all the best people" to do all his dirty work.

This includes extracting wealth from them or exploiting them for any assistance he might be able to get from them.
Anyone who cannot be exploited by him is of no value to him.

This insight has been awfully slow in coming.
Trump has always been an opportunist motivated only by wealth and power and by his endless fear of not having enough of either.
He only values himself according to how much wealth and power he thinks he has.
