I was afraid Arcane would pull the "Everything goes just fine until someone rewinds the time" time-travel cliche because as much I love time travel I hate that trope, but I am so-so happy Ekko was the key for the final result!

Post-fall, and food is hard to get, so Hannibal often gives the rest of his to Will. Because he needs to eat more and because he can't bear the idea of Will starving. But Will can't accept it, Hannubal needs it too.
