I asked why he didn't take the early severance package in the days before the strike, he said he intended to work there until he died. Ominous career path.

His name was Ken, he and I would talk a lot about retro-computing and hardware jury rigging. Man's desk was as messy as mine, parts connectors, tools, all someplace that made sense to him I'm sure.
