I can't draw or paint but I wanted to honor both him and his namesake so I did my best. It's in my bedroom where it will stay forever. I sleep curled up in his blanket every night and holding his collar. I love him so much. 💔 You were too good for this world, Jiji. #pets #help #kitten #loss #ghibli

We couldn't afford cremation after the $600 spent to save him, so we had to bury him in the backyard. I visit every single day. I cry every night. I would do anything to have him back purring in my arms and gazing up at me with his beautiful eyes. He was the one and he's gone. #kitten #help #pets

She kindly inserted an IV, so as not to poke him more, removed his adorable sushi collar and brought him to me. I told him how much I loved him and how special he was and that I wished we had more time but thanked him for choosing me. He passed in my arms Monday afternoon. #pets #help #animalabuse

The vet immediately grabbed his carrier and took him to the back. She came back to let me know that she snuck in an x-ray and that he had pneumonia and that with that and the blockage, and his blood work being so bad.. She told me what I knew. My husband and kid said goodbye. #cats #help #kitten

So I kept him in my lap and told him how loved he is and how special he is and that though I couldn't bare to lose him, I couldn't allow him to suffer and to let me know when it was time. He crawled further into my lap and opened his eyes, looking up at me. I immediately called the vet. #pets #help

This was the day I cleaned his toe beans for him because, as we later learned, he was dying. The vet said due to the no deworming that he was so full of worms, it had caused a blockage, he was too weak for surgery. She told me to take him home to see if the antibiotics would do anything. #pets #cats

We got blood work done and he was given fluids and antibiotics but based on the test results, it didn't look good. The vet performed two ultrasounds for free and noticed a blockage. She said based on everything that he was already dying when we adopted him. He only lived because of us. #pets #help

But just as things seemed to be going perfectly, I noticed that Jiji seemed lethargic. I asked my husband and he assured me it was normal. Saturday and Sunday he slowed right down so I called the vet Monday first thing. They were so worried, he got right in and they tried to save him. #pets

I slept with Jiji on me or next to me every night. The first night he fell asleep on me and I felt so at peace that I managed to sleep without medication for the first time in years. He was my boy, my son. The second morning he pounced on my chest and then covered my face in kisses. #kitten #help

Jiji was shy but immediately took to me and then my husband & my kid. He was nervous around our pets, who were angels, but he was making so much progress. Exploring on his own, playing with us and getting close with the pets.. he was eating, drinking, thriving.. #kitten #animalabuse #help
