Views from about noon a few miles from the Hughes fire. It's been spreading fast in the wind; it already tripled in size when I took my dog to the vet.

The Castaic Animal Shelter & Pitchess Detention Center are both in the area

Christmas, SSP-style
A Christmas tree is set up in the waiting area of a syringe services program. It stands on a bright red tree skirt. Got my flu shot today and saw Narcan on shelves at Target.

Glad to see the statement "Safe to Use Even if Opioids are Not Present" on a side panel.
