Internally, I use “Thanks!”
Externally, I usually use “Best,”
If those feel too informal (or if someone does not deserve my thanks or best wishes! Lol) I just say “Regards,”

My kid is relatively young, and we have his device locked down. At this point, the school’s insistence that he power the thing fully off in the morning and leave it that way all day only means that I can’t reach him when the afternoon bus is MIA yet again. I find it so frustrating.
